CGI Greece is the Greek chapter of the Climate Governance Initiative, launched by the World Economic Forum and Cambridge’s Hughes Hall Center for Climate Engagement, with the goal of empowering Board of Directors to accelerate the transition to net zero. CGI GREECE AT THE DELPI ECONOMIC FORUM
In the context of the April 2024 Delphi Economic Forum, CGI Greece hosted a panel entitled “Navigating Climate Governance: A Public-Private Perspective”, featuring distinguished speakers from the EBRD, International Monetary Fund, TITAN, EY Greece, and
the International Advisory Panel on Biodiversity Credits, to discuss conditions for crowding in private sector investment in the green transition.

SPOTLIGHT ON CGI GREECE’S UPCOMING CLIMATE GOVERNANCE AWARENESS PROGRAM
The Board of Directors of Climate Governance Initiative Greece, jointly with Founding Member companies (TITAN, Piraeus Bank, EY), is developing a Climate Governance Awareness Program for the board members of Greek Companies, both large and small. Event objectives include:
- Empowering companies to take climate action from the board room
- Making board members aware of both the risks and business opportunities that climate change represents for their businesses
- Provide insights of practical steps boards can take to improve climate governance performance and access to green capital
